Patons book 8016 Play Days has 6 designs for ages 1 to 6 with multiple options in Cotton Blend 8 ply. These patterns knit just as well in any of your favourite 8ply wools or acrylics - we know because we've knitted them ourselves Patterns include sleeved and sleeveless hooded zip front jackets, a zipped cable jacket, and 4 styles of jump and one sleeveless vest. This is our most recommended book for age 1 to 6 and although the patterns are all shown as boyswear they will do equally well for girls and is great value. Hand Hint: To knit a button band instead of zip finish just add 6 to 8 stitches to left and right fronts and knit these in garter stitch on very row. If you knit the right front first you can make the buttonholes as you knit the left front.
