NZ native wildlife shown include a Tuatara, kekeno (seal), tohora (whale), wheketere (squid), tamure (snapper), kumukumu (gurnard), and koura (crayfish). NZ Birds (manu) including hihi (stitchbird), kaka (parrot), kiwi, kereru (wood pigeon), kotare (kingfisher), kotuku (heron), hoiho (yellow-eyed penguin), piwakawaka (fantail), pukeko, ruru (morepork/owl), titipounamu (rifleman), tui, tuturiwhatu (dotterel), and tauhou (waxeye).
