Franco Tempesta was born in Milan, Italy, and has since childhood loved drawing animals, dinosaurs, and dragons. In the last 20 years Franco has focused on realizing authentic images of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, and has collaborated with national and foreign publishers, including National Geographic, Smithsonian Institute, Random House, Readerlink, Firecrest Publishing, Geoworld, Fleurus, and Mondadori. In April 2014, the Museum of Paleontology of Naples hosted a permanent exhibition dedicated to his illustrations of dinosaurs.
