What shipping do I need to pay?
We use NZ Post Couriers to deliver directly to as many New Zealand addresses as possible, at a reasonable cost. Our shipping rates are: Our policy is - If you overpay the shipping, we will refund the difference to your debit/credit card, or Afterpay account.
X-Small (NZPost DLE or A5 bag) $6.90 for 1 or 3 small balls of wool, OR knitting patterns or books, OR a few sewing items, OR up to 2 metres of quilt fabric.
Small (NZPost A4 or Foolscap bag) $9.90 for up to 0.5kg of wool (10 balls at 50gram or 5 balls at 100gram), OR up to 5 metres of quilting fabric.
Large (NZPost LF size bag) $14.90 for up to 1.0kg of wool (20 balls at 50gram or 10 balls at 100gram), OR up to 2 metres of quilt batting, OR more than 5 metres of quilting fabric.
X-Large $19.90 - more than the amounts above.
What if I underpay or overpay the shipping costs?
If you overpay the shipping, we will refund the difference to your debit/credit card, or Afterpay account. If your actual shipping costs are substantially over the amount paid, we may request a small top-up to cover your actual shipping costs.
If you are uncertain what shipping rate to pay you can Choose ‘Request a Quote” and we will give you an accurate shipping fee, usually within 24 hours, which can be paid easily by internet banking.
Our regular customers, both rural & urban, enjoy our low-cost shipping and are almost always right on their shipping rate choice.
Why is there no rural delivery surcharge?
We keep our costs as low as possible for everyone and have incorporated the rural fee into our standard shipping rates where possible, if uncertain you can pay for next size up on shipping and we will refund any overpayment.
Why don’t we offer free shipping?
We don’t offer free shipping because our wide range of both products and order sizes restults in a wide range of shipping costs – from a few sewing items up to 2 kilograms of wool for a large knitting project. Other sites with a flat rate or free shipping have often had to increase their prices to cover their shipping costs. We prefer to keep our prices reasonable and fair for everyone, and we charge each customer only the shipping costs incurred for their order.
