We have written these for both experienced and inexperienced internet shopping customers. Why am I asked to Log In or Create an Account?

You can choose to create an account, or not.  You can create an account before you start browsing the website, or when you get to checkout.  If you choose to create an account you can keep track of previous orders and also build a wish list to come back to. 
We will keep your information private, use it only to fulfil your orders, provide customer service, and for our own marketing use if you choose to see offers and other information from us.  We do not share your information with any unrelated parties, and we will not sell your personal information or give anyone else access to it.

How can I pay for my goods?

You can pay by Internet Banking, Afterpay, Mastercard, and Visa Debit & Credit cards through the secure Stripe payment provider. Phone orders can be paid by any of these except Afterpay which can only be used if you place your order through the website, but not for phone orders. 

If you are uncertain what shipping rate to pay you can Choose ‘Request a Quote” and we will give you an accurate shipping fee, usually within 24 hours, which can be paid easily by internet banking.
Our regular customers, both rural & urban, enjoy our low-cost shipping and are confident choosing an apprpriate shipping rate for their order size.  You can contact us or phone 027-308-7765 - 9am to 7pm Monday to Sunday to ask about shipping rates or payment methods.

How will my delivery get to me?

We use NZ Post Courier service to send your order direct to any address on the NZ Post delivery network.  We do not use NZ Posts automatic lookup feature - this is to make ordering easier for you.  You type in your address as you would normally use it, and we will correct any minor details (e.g. postcode) at time of shipping.  If we are unsure of your proper delivery address, we will phone or email you to check.  We can deliver to a Home, Work, Rural, PO Box, or other valid address…

What shipping do I need to pay?

We use NZ Post Couriers to deliver directly to as many New Zealand addresses as possible, at a reasonable cost.  Our shipping rates are: X-Small $6.90, Small $9.90, Large $14.90, X-Large $19.90.  Our fair-rate policy is - If you overpay the shipping, we will refund the difference to your debit/credit card, or Afterpay account.

How do I order knitting yarn?

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

  1. Find the yarn you want
  2. View the shade chart displayed
  3. Select the colour you want
  4. Check the colour displayed is the one you want,
  5. Enter the number of balls in quantity
  6. Select Add to Cart.
  7. Repeat if you want another yarn, or another shade of the same yarn.

How do I find and order knitting patterns?

Finding the right pattern – by search:  You can use the search bar to find a pattern type, age range, brand and/or yarn thickness.  For example: ‘child seamless top-down jumper’, or ‘baby raglan cardi 4ply’.  Some descriptions mean the same e.g. sweater and jumper, or cardigan, jacket, hoodie – using multiple words in your search can help e.g. cardi jacket hoodie.

How do I order general Sewing & Mending Supplies?

Use the search bar to find what you need OR select via the menu on the left bar, or the main screen, if you are unsure of proper names or are looking for further items. The menus have been structured using standard industry categories to help you find what you need.

How do I order Patchwork & Quilting fabric ?

You can order a fabric length by the centimetre (usually 112cm wide), by the fat quarter piece (50cm x 55cm approx.), or by the panel picture (usually 112cm high by 60cm or 90cm wide approx.)

How do I order batting / wadding ?

You can order batting by the centimetre. Most battings are specified 2.54 metres (254cm or 100”) wide but are usually 2.6 metres (260 cm or 102”) wide when spread out to allow your quilt to fit when pinning or basting.

What if the product I received is faulty?

If you have a problem with the product, you can phone, email or ‘contact us’ to fix the problem.  We abide by the Consumers Guarantee Act and can replace or refund faulty product where necessary. 

Why am I being asked to review my items after purchase?

Your review allows others a to know how good our products and service are, and how much you like (or dislike) particular product or colour. This increases our ratings and helps us grow so that we can provide you and others with a wider range of quality products, and better service.
