Product Description
Crucci's new Sock Yarn 4ply is made of 75% Superwash Merino with 25% nylon for strength and durability. Don't restrict yourself to just socks - this yarn would be perfect for baby knitting, fine shawls and lightweight warm hats. Colours 10 to 14 are stripey with subtle flecks, colours 15 to 19 are stripey with contrasting spots which knit up to a chevron effect.  To make your colour choice easier we show both the ball of wool and pictures of the knitted sock sample.  On larger garments your stripes may appear wider, shorter and more varied.
Recommended needle size 2.25mm for tension of 32 stitches over 10cm stocking stitch. Although 2.5mm or 2.75mm needles can be used to give correct tension depending on your knitting technique and tightness.
Free sock knitting pattern for adult sizes XS, M, L, XL included on request. Socks are knitted top down on 5 double pointed needles, or single magic-loop technique on circular needle (two-needle magic-loop technique on two circular needles).

Crucci sock yarn
This merino 4 ply sock yarn is gorgeous. It's so soft and fine, knits up beautifully on 3.25 needles. I love the way the dye is slightly uneven so there are random spots of the other colours mixed in. Perfectly imperfect.

Colour spotting of indigo in other colour stripes spoilt otherwise very nice yarn
NOTE Sorry this happened - Colour 12 "City" no longer produced, the new colours 20, 21 and 22 shouldn't have this problem - Knit Sew Quilt NZ
